The 6200 series exit device is available with 4 electrified options in both 3' and 4' devices in both Rim and SVR device type:
ED - Electric dogging
SS - Signal Switch (REX/AE)
AL - Battery powered alarm
EL Option - Electric Latch Retraction
PDQ's 6200 Series Exit Devices (Rim and Surface Vertical Rod) with Electric Latch Retraction Option (EL suffix) – is designed for high traffic egress doors that require access control. Continuous duty solenoid retracts the latchbolt(s) for momentary or maintained periods of time. Once retracted the door functions in a push/pull manner. The device can be dogged continuously on fire rated devices tied into the building's fire detection system.
The EL option combined with the required 81406 power supply will retract the latch when power is applied to the unit.
Unit must be used with 81406 power supply. Information provided for wire sizing only.

ED Option - Electric Dogging
PDQ's 6200 Series Exit Devices (Rim and Surface Vertical Rod) with Electric Dogging Option (ED suffix) – are designed for libraries, auditoriums, theaters, courtrooms, churches, schools, or any areas which require silent operation of exit device hardware. When the 6200 series – ED is energized and the push rail is depressed, it will continuously hold the push rail down and the latch(es) will be held retracted. When device is de-energized or power is interrupted, the latch(es) will extend.
The ED option can be combined combined with any correctly sized UL listed 24V power supply.
Voltage:
24VDC
Current:
0.225A @ 24VDC
Features:
Power supplied through Electrified hinge or pivot (not included)
Provides silent/quiet ingress when dogged down
Door widths: 36” to 48”
Electric Dogging Option – ED suffix not available with Electric Latch Retraction Option – EL suffix on same device
SS Option - Signal Switch (REX/AE)
PDQ's 6200 Series Exit Devices (Rim and Surface Vertical Rod) with Signal Switch Option (SS suffix) – has a SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) switch assembly installed in the touch bar with long wire leads and easy-to-follow installation instructions. The Signal Switch provides push bar monitoring for a variety of applications on non-fire rated and fire rated egress doors. The SS option can have either one or two SPDT switches.
