PDQ Manufacturing

PDQ is rapidly establishing itself as a full line supplier of door hardware to the contract hardware industry.  Our most recent introduction is a line of Commercial Hinges.  PDQ hinges are
available in several finishes including, 626, 605, and 630.  Available in plain bearing, ball bearing and heavy duty ball bearing, these hinges are independently tested and meet ANSI/BHMA A156.1-2000, based on grade of hinge. Our spring hinges are UL listed. 



METICULOUSLY MANUFACTURED, THE PDQ HINGE IS AVAILABLE IN 3 BASE METALS:

• STEEL — Wrought Steel is durable yet corrosive. Best if used on interior applications where temperature and humidity are controlled. Steel ball bearing hinges may be used on fire rated openings.

• BRASS— Wrought Brass is rust resistant and decorative. Apply brass hinges where appearance is of great concern yet humidity is also a factor. Brass hinges may not be used on fire rated openings.

• STAINLESS STEEL — Stainless Steel Types 302/304 is rust resistant, durable and decorative. Apply stainless hinges on highly corrosive areas such as chemical storage, seacoast, or industrial areas where acids or atmospheric conditions exist. Stainless steel ball bearing hinges may be used on fire rated openings.

CERTIFICATION: PDQ hinges meet the requirements of ANSI/BHMA A156.1 Section 4.1.

All PDQ hinges have a base material of Wrought Steel, Stainless Steel, or Wrought Brass. Since each material has different characteristics it is essential that the correct hinge be used in each application.
PDQ Hinges are Cycle tested in accordance with ANSI/BHMA A156.1-2000 for one of the following Grades:

• Grade 1, Heavy weight Ball Bearing Hinge (HB) for 2,500,000 cycles
• Grade 2, Ball Bearing Hinge (BB) for 1,500,000 cycles
• Grade 3, Plain Bearing Hinge (PL) for 350,000 cycles

WARRANTY: Five (5) year limited warranty

The American Eagle 6200 Series offers superior durability and security in commercial applications while providing compliance with life safety and fire code requirements. The 6200 Series is ideal for stocking distributors as the exit device is universal. The function is easily determined by selecting from the extensive line of available trim options. Units are non-handed to facilitate easy field installation. The 6200 is available in a variety of architectural finishes that will compliment any decor.

The American Eagle 4200 Series offers a reliable and economical solution for compliance with life safety and fire code requirements. The 4200 is available in color and architectural finishes with metal chassis cover and end cap. This device is non-handed.  Function is determined by the trim selection, making the device well suited to stocking distributors. Rim and surface vertical rod applications are available to provide both security and egress.

   Escutcheon trim MUST be used when through bolting the exit device. Sectional trim will conflict with through bolt heads for the device chassis

The PDQ/AE 6202 Series Narrow Stile Panic and Fire Rated Exit Hardware is designed for use on contemporary glass doors in public buildings, resort hotels, stores, and all types of applications where narrow stile aluminum framing is used.  The 6202 is available in 613 and 630 finishes. 6202 Narrow Stile Cut Down Charts

The PDQ/AE 4202 Narrow Stile device has the same features as our very popular 4200 standard unit, but has a profile that will fit on a 2.5" minimum stile width.  Designed for use on single or double doors with mullion this unit is non-handed to facilitate ease of installation.  The 4202 Series Narrow stile device is available in both 689 Aluminum and 695 Dark Bronze painted finishes. 4202-6202 Cutdown Chart

The PDQ/AE 9200 series keyed removable mullions are for use with our 4200 and 6200 series Rim Exit Devices on non fire or fire rated pairs of doors.
