MRS is built on a Grade 1 mortise lock body rather than a bored cylindrical chassis, giving it a mortise lock's heavier latching and deadlocking strength for higher-security openings. It's the right choice when a door (such as a stairwell, server room, or high-security office), needs mortise-level mechanical security combined with electronic credentials.

Does the MRS lock track when someone uses the mechanical key override instead of a credential?

Yes, MRS logs key override use so administrators know exactly when the physical key bypassed electronic access, in addition to latchbolt monitoring and request-to-exit reporting. This gives full audit visibility even on the occasions someone uses the mechanical backup.

What credentials does the MRS electronic mortise lock support?

MRS accepts PIN codes, RFID cards, mobile/smartphone credentials, and a mechanical key override, with compatibility for MIFARE DESFire EV1/EV2/EV3/Light, MIFARE Ultralight EV1/AES, MIFARE Classic, and optional Prox. Bluetooth communication runs on BLE 4.2/5.2 with AES 256 encryption.

How long does the MRS mortise lock's battery last?

MRS runs on four AA alkaline batteries for up to two years, with battery status and low-battery alerts built in, or it can be wired to a 5V DC power source. It operates in either standalone or online mode over Bluetooth.

Can the MRS lock temporarily block all access to a room?

Yes, MRS includes a do-not-disturb mode that temporarily blocks access to the door, along with scheduled access windows and auto lock/unlock functions for routine control. It's aimed at rooms needing both scheduled restriction and full mortise-lock security.
