      Is US32D the same finish as 689?

      No, though they can look similar. US32D (BHMA 630) is a satin stainless steel finish typically used on locks, exit devices, and hinges. 689 is a painted aluminum finish commonly used on door closers and aluminum storefront hardware to visually coordinate with satin stainless finishes elsewhere on the opening.       What ANSI/BHMA standards should a door hardware specification reference?
