How PDQ Hardware Secured Naples Square Quattro in Naples, FL

Quattro, the fourth phase of the Naples Square community, called for door hardware that could match a custom, single-family-home feel across 65 residences. PDQ's MR Series mortise locks, SD Series cylindrical locks, and 6300 exit devices now secure the property.

      About the property

Quattro is the fourth phase at Naples Square, a walkable/bikeable community located at 5th Avenue South and Goodlette-Frank Road. The 65 Quattro residences live like single-family homes and sit on a single level. Each plan includes luxurious appointments fitting for a custom home and open-concept spaces featuring large great rooms, dining rooms, oversized island kitchens built for entertaining, spacious covered outdoor terraces, multi-functional dens, light-filled owner's suites, and elegant guest suites ,. some of which open to outdoor balconies

      The Challenge

Quattro's residences were designed to live like single-family homes rather than typical multifamily units, which put the specification under two competing demands: hardware had to carry the durability and code compliance expected of a Grade 1/Grade 2 commercial multifamily project. With 65 single-level residences built around large open-concept living spaces and outdoor terraces, the project also needed a consistent hardware package across a wide range of door types (including entry doors, terrace doors, den and suite doors, common corridors) without it looking mismatched from unit to unit or requiring multiple vendors.

      The Solution

Working with distributor Fields Door & Hardware, the project specified a coordinated PDQ package across the property.

      Mortise Lock · Grade 1

      MR Series

Specified on unit entry doors across all 65 Quattro residences. Grade 1 mortise construction delivers the security and finish quality expected of a custom single-family home.

      Cylindrical Lock · Grade 2

      SD Series

Installed on interior doors such as dens, guest suites, and secondary openings where value-engineered Grade 2 construction keeps cost down without sacrificing durability.

      Exit Device · Grade 1

      6300 Exit Device

Specified on common-area and egress doors, where code-required panic hardware and heavy-duty cycle ratings hold up to shared-space traffic outside the residences.

Sourcing all three product lines from one manufacturer let the architect and distributor standardize finishes and function across all 65 units rather than reconciling hardware from multiple vendors unit by unit.
